Batch #2

Batch posts are posts with early impressions and thoughts of shows I don’t finish.

Tomoya‘s (CV: Aimi Terakawa) father re-married and Tomoya got an older sister, Ichika (CV: Juri Nagatsuma). It would had been fine, but she’s really weirdly obsessed with her younger brother.

I didn’t really have a reason to drop this show, because the winter 2013/2014 season is full of mediocrity. I guess I dropped it so I could watch stuff I liked better r felt could go somewhere, so while it wasn’t horribly bad, it wasn’t good either.

This horror show on 4 minutes per episode is kind of weird. I tried to understand it, but I just couldn’t. It just didn’t make any sense to me at all. So I just gave up. All I gathered was that the younger of two siblings, Yume Hasegawa (CV: Ibuki Kido) turned into a monster, ate her brother Utsusu (CV:Nobunaga Shimazaki) and her brother appeared in the next episode again. Lots of blood and mindfuck, but that’s all I see. Maybe I’m just too stupid for Pupa.

Z/X Ignition

Monsters from different world have invaded the world through various Black Points. Once day a hurt angel falls out of the sky and Asuka Tennouji (CV: Hiro Shimono) captures her in a card device to save her life. Now Asuka and the angel Fierte (CV: Mao Ichimichi) have to fight together.

Too much battle. I got bored. Fierte is pretty though and Hiro Shimono is <3. But other than that, i got bored.

58103lMahou Sensou

If normal human children and youth are exposed to magic they turn into magicians. This is exactly what happens to Takeshi Nanase (CV: Mamoru Miyano), Kurumi Isoshima (CV: Asami Seto) and Kazumi Ida (CV: Kenichi Suzumura). They are taken to the magical world where they choose whether to stay in the non-magical dimension and lose their powers or stay in the magical dimension and keep their powers. They decide to keep them and start going to the magic school.

You know how some things just aren’t memorable? This is one of those things. After a single week I completely forgot what the show even was about. I don’t usually forget shows that easily – I might feel like they give me nothing to remember, but I don’t usually forget about them completely in between episodes. Even I don’t have that bad a memory. But with this one it was blank. I saw the title and just wondered what it was. So regardless of whether being good or bad, it’s just not memorable in the line-up for this on going season. There are other shows which includes magic that gives a stronger impression than this show, so maybe it just drew the short straw.

I guess it’s about a magical war, since that’s what the title is, but they certainly did lose me as I pretty much fell off the wagon after each episode.
