Strike the Blood

56163lThe legend says that the strongest vampire is the Fourth Progenitor, but it’s just a legend, because there is only three progenitors. For his entire life, Kojou Akatsuki (CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya) has been your average male student, nothing more and nothing less. But one day the Fourth Progenitor sent her spirit into Kojou and he’s now the one of legends. Keeping it secret isn’t an easy feat as his eyes turns red when he gets urges for blood, but he can’t let anyone know he became a vampire either. And now Yukina Himeragi (CV: Risa Taneda) was sent from the Lion King Organization to supervise Kojou and kill him if he is evil.

Honestly, by the time I’m writing this, it’s been a while since the show aired and to be honest I only remember it being a tad bit weird. And that I thought the novels it is based on probably are a lot better. MyAnimeList.net’s “genres” for the show more or less summarizes what I remember of the show; Action, Ecchi, Fantasy, School, Shounen, Vampire, Supernatural. I guess that might be all there was to it. That and a bit of a harem with all the girls falling for Kojou + some random sister I first thought was his childhood friend.

The more I try to remember, the more I go “WTF did I watch?” and laugh because I just remember random scenes like Kojou running in while Yukina and some girls are getting changed and the girls are like “sure come in”, because he’s in some childhood friend’s body. And Kojou’s vampiric urges comes from being turned on. Mate, is it because you blood rushes to that part of your body or something? Crazy shit. There should be a WTF Warning on some stuff.
