Eagle Fantasy Golf

banner3Ever wanted to be a golf pro, but don’t want to spend hours and hours on the golf court? In fact, you might not even have a golf court near you? Don’t worry! Eagle Fantasy Golf is right there in your mobile device for you to play as much golf as you wish! Fio will show you around.

THOUGHTS
I got a mail about this to my blog’s mail from Aiming Global, so I thought “why not?” And this resulted in… Request Friday! Read more about that below. So, to what I think about the game.

I’ve never played virtual golf before and I admit I found it incredibly fun! At the time of writing the review I’ve played a bit every day for the past week and reached around level 10 and rank D++. I especially like the multiplayer aspect of playing against other people to rank up.

You can choose between a male or female character and choose a nick at the start. Appearance of your character looks the same as everyone else's and you have to buy thinks like hair or eyes of your liking.

The difficulty of the courts varies, but they went up in difficulty on average, so I actually found the easier courts a bit of a relief from time to time. You also somewhat set the difficulty yourself as your gear affects stats such as strength and you can – as I did in several ranking matches – how much strength you actually have.

The downside is that it uses an energy based system, so you need to wait for the energy to charge up. Some charges up over the court of a court, so during the early levels you’ll breeze through, especially since you get full energy whenever you level up and even if you fail a hole, you get experience. Rank matches (at least on my rank) were very cheap in that regard, but they didn’t seem to give any experience (or I just didn’t notice) outside from the rank points, so if you want to play a lot, you can play rank matches against others, or you can play for a shorter amount of time to level up faster.

Another downside is that it requires an internet connection and you can’t play if the game isn’t up to date, so I suggest playing only when you have wi-fi and let the game automatically update.

Gear received from Lotto, which either costs CP or Lotto Shards. Premium Lotto is better, but you don’t get a lot of CP in-game, so you might have to do with the lower level gear. However though can be leveled up in “Fusion”.

I already mentioned gear, and it feels like this is an important part, especially higher in levels. There are several sets of costumes you may like, but you can mix and match as well. The pieces have different stats as different parts of your body affects different things. For instance, your gloves/hand gear affects how much you can spin the ball, and the upper body is your strength. You can get this gear from clearing a hole or in the Lotto.

Finally, when you join, you seem to automatically join a team. This team is like a guild in RPG and you can (probably) interact in the team chat. I’m the team leader of my team, Super Golfers, but no one seemed to be into chatting.

All in all, despite its downsides, I found it a lot of fun.  I’m still playing, so if you’re interested, you can use the invitation code KZDHH7S

Thanks to Marieanne at Aiming Global who mailed me with a link so I could get the HQ banner at the top. All other pictures are screenshots I’ve taken.
