This batch is the shows I dropped during this winter season. I didn’t pick up all this time, but I think I gave the majority available in Sweden on Wakanim and Crunchyroll (combined) a try.
Boogiepop and Others
An urban legends tells that Boogiepop will relieve you from life, but few knows the truth. One who does know though, is Keiji Takeda (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi) because it turns out his girlfriend has Boogiepop (CV: Aoi Yuuki) sleeping in her subconsciousness, waiting for the abnormalities to show up and to remove them from this world.
This seemed like a good psychological mystery/horror show and I watched a lot of it at once. But then I just got bored after a while and stopped watching. And I guess that says enough.
Girly Air Force
Kei Narutani (CV: Ryouta Oosaka) and Minghua Song (CV: Lynn) fled to Japan to get away from the Zai, but during the escape they are attacked by them. However, a strange fighter flies in and tries to fight them. As the danger is gone, the plane crashes into the water. Kei decides to save the pilot and it turns out to change his life and perhaps even get him closer to the revenge he seeks.
Uncute things being cute girls. Is that a genre? If it isn’t, I think it needs to be. In this planes have female personas who fly their specific plane and they were created through… Science, I guess? Not my thing and I didn’t really feel the story caught me, so I gave up on it.
The Price of Smiles
In the future, on a planet far from Earth, Princess Yuuki Soleil (CV: Yumiri Hanamori) reigns her kingdom peacefully, giving smiles to her people. But reality is not as pretty as she thinks it is and after her dearest guard dies in war, her whole world is turned up-side-down.
This one is very much like Boogiepop. It seemed like a show i’d like, but I dropped it because I lost interest. But it may have been because there are a lot of shows this season I simply liked more and continued watching.
WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me
I only have one thing to say: Paedophilia. No thanks.
