A comic batch! I’m fairly certain I promised this a while ago. Oops. Anyway, I’ve been borrowing some stuff from the library, so here goes!
I tried a new layout for batch posts while at it. Click the images to buy the volumes. If you can’t see any, change the settings of your adblocker. Let me know how this layout is or if I should change it!
Black Butler Ciel Phantomhive is a young aristocrat in a fantasy Britain, and he is the owner of a very successful toy manufacturing company. but not is exactly how it seems, with Ciel having an unusually capable butler, Sebastian, and he has responsibilities that might be a bit heavy on his child-sized shoulders.
I’ve tried to read this before, but to some degree, it’s not my thing. I love the aesthetic of it, but despite being targeted more towards girls/young women who read shounen it’s not really targeted to me. I want to like it though. It’s the right genre, it’s the right aesthetic, it’s the right kind of art. But it all kind of falls apart for me in the story-telling itself. At least 2 volumes in. Continue reading →
The cover for Episode 146, which covers a tale from my own home area of the world – Scandinavia.
This is the first podcast review I’ve done! Yay! It also means I’m not getting a single cent from this post. Darn it! This also means the layout of this post is different from my usual layout, even though the content comes in the same order. Think more “Batch Post Entry” and less “10k words long review”. Though I have more to say about this than two paragraphs.
Anyway, the concept of Myth & Legends is exactly what the title is. It’s about myths and legends, and some folklore and fairytales as well. Many games, books, comics, films, and TV shows (and so much more) has gotten inspired by myths, legends, fairytales and folklore and we often might not even know where it came from, so a podcast with that topic can be really interesting to listen to. Myth & Legends is a very international and some things that have been covered are Greek myths, Arthurian legends, Japanese tales, American stories, and the origins of some much beloved Disney films (like one of my favourites – Mulan). Kaori Kurokawa doing the princess carry on Kouta Shiraishi on the first cover of the series.
Kouta Shiraishi is popular among the girls, and has always been. But then he meets Kaori Kurokawa, who shows no interest in him as such. Instead she seems to be competition due to her habit of acting like a hot guy. He decides to make her fall for him, and to do that he says he’ll help her get rid of her habit. But is that really how it will all end up in the end? Continue reading →
This is a post copy-pasted from my Patreon. I thought I’d share it here, because it’s posted there for all to read. These posts are supposed to be posted once every month where I share a bit about what happens “behind the scenes”. The support from Patreon helps pay for the costs for domain name, lack of ads (from WordPress – I still add affiliate links), services to review, and the stuff to review. Take a moment to look into it. My patreon is set up to draw once a month, as I post monthly, and the minimum is 1 USD, but you can support any amount above that too! To read more posts like this in the future, go there!
I need to get better at writing these. But before that I might actually need to remember what I did during the month
During April I spent a lot of the time very depressed though, I’ll be that honest. The reason was a new medication. Or was that March? I no longer remember. Continue reading →
You break just about every bone in a girl’s body. By accident you are the reason why a girl’s view of the universe falls into piece. Fleeing as a protestant you smash a girl’s home. This is the game where you crush your new crush in the most creative ways.
That sounds really nice for like a new variant to IRC, doesn’t it? (This is for you who are too young for IRC.) At least if you’re a gamer and play on PC. I mean, there are better services if you use consoles for gaming, probably.
This batch is the shows I dropped during this winter season. I didn’t pick up all this time, but I think I gave the majority available in Sweden on Wakanim and Crunchyroll (combined) a try.
Boogiepop and Others
An urban legends tells that Boogiepop will relieve you from life, but few knows the truth. One who does know though, is Keiji Takeda (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi) because it turns out his girlfriend has Boogiepop (CV: Aoi Yuuki) sleeping in her subconsciousness, waiting for the abnormalities to show up and to remove them from this world.
This seemed like a good psychological mystery/horror show and I watched a lot of it at once. But then I just got bored after a while and stopped watching. And I guess that says enough. Continue reading →
