Natsume (CV: Kana Hanazawa) and her cousin Harutora (CV: Kaito Ishikawa) are both children of great onmyou users and are from the Tsuchimikado family. Harutora from the branch family is supposed to be the shikigami of Natsume’s, as she’s from the main family, but Harutora isn’t actually a spirit seer. However, Natsume unlocks his path to the onmyoudou and he starts attending the same school as Natsume to learn about it together with his friend Touji Ato (CV: Ryouhei Kimura), and becomes friends with Kyouko Kurahashi (CV: Eri Kitamura), Tenma Momoe (CV: Hiro Shimono) and Suzuka Dairenji (CV: Ayane Sakura). Together with Harutora’s shikigami Kon, these children learn the truth about Yakou Tsuchimikado, whom Natsume is said to be the reincarnation of.
Elder Tale is a game with a lot of players around the world. There is a new expansion for it, and a lot of people are happy to play it. But when they start playing the new version, something is completely wrong. They are not just playing the game, approximately 30 000 Japanese players are stuck in the game. One of these players is Shiroe (CV: Takuma Terashima), a well-known player who is known for once being the strategist of a party called Debauchery Tea Party. He teams up with his friend Naotsugu (CV: Tomoaki Maeno) and an assassin called Akatsuki (CV: Emiri Katou) to deal with the new challenges they have in this new life they now live. Continue reading
Batch posts a compilation of a few shows I’ve dropped, films, OVAs and Specials that don’t need their own posts.
Wizard Barrister: Benmashi Cecil
Cecil Sudou (CV: Rui Tanabe) is the youngest Wizard Barrister in history. She is together with the other at her agency to be attorney’s for fellow wizards. She says it’s to help people, but in fact she wants to save her own mother who is in jail for illegal use of magic.
It seemed pretty okay, but after a while it got a bit confusing and more than anything – boring. I just gave up. (lol)
Batch posts are posts with shows I drop along the way and sometimes films or OVAs I don’t feel I can give a proper post too.
Heart no Kuni no Alice
I… can’t… even… I don’t know. What did I watch? I don’t know. This film is an adaptation of the game made by QuinRose with the same name, which is the first game in the Alice series. It’s based on Alice in Wonderland (no kidding?) and I’ve played a little bit of it several years ago when I still wasn’t very fluent in Japanese. But this was too confusing. It completely messed me up and I kept looking at the clock. Yuck.
Batch posts are (mostly) early impressions on shows I dropped along the way over the season. Most shows which I stop watching are dropped within the 3 first episodes or I watch through it, but there are times I drop them further in (usually longer shows). The following four are all from this ongoing winter season.
Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiin da ga.
Or ImoCho for short. In English it’s “Recently, my little sister has been a bit weird” (ignore the fact I just translated the title as is, which isn’t what I’ve actually the English title, as far as I know).
These little sister light novels are going to kill me. I thought that after torturing myself through 12 episodes and a recap of Disgusting Wifebeaters (aka Diabolik Lovers) I could watch anything. I was wrong and ImoCho slapped that in my face only days after I thought I could watch anything. Life is cruel.
Well, ImoCho seemed to be liked by my boyfriend after a single episode (I didn’t check his rating on it on MAL. Nope.) but as I’m not interested in a combination of following ingredients:
Step-siblings (older male, younger female) alone in a house (well, will be – parents are leaving for India)
Ghost masturbating while possessing girl
And more stuff like as above. Yeah, I admit I couldn’t write more without being at loss of words.
I guess the first episode could basically be described as tasteless soft porn. I’m not into that. I’ll take on those vampires any day, as long as I don’t have to watch ImoCho. Continue reading
Akihito Kanbara (CV: KENN) is a half-spirit. An immortal half-spirit with a glasses fetish. One day he sees a girl with glasses and because he think she’s going to jump off the school rooftop, he runs up to talk her out of it. But after she got back within the fence, she stabs him with a blade made of blood, and Akihito now starts a life where this girl, the spirit warrior Mirai Kuriyama (CV: Risa Taneda), stabs him with her blood blade every single day and slowly they learn more about each other…
This show is a dark fantasy set in a realistic world. Which means I’ll like it by default. I’ll admit that much. But except for the fantasy element with spirits and people with magical abilities who fight them, there’s more that makes me like it. Continue reading
