It’s been a while since my last batch post, but allow me to briefly share my thoughts on a few shows I’ve watched recently (or not so recently but never finished the posts for). There will be another batch soon, because I didn’t want this post to be too long and I’ve binged a lot of shows while I was pregnant and during the past year and I’d like to share my thoughts on at least a portion of them. Next month will be a game review, but I think there’ll be another batch post the month after that.
In Japan a school for spies was created in 1937, and we get to see individual stories related to this agency of spies, called D-Agency. Continue reading →
I’m Morioka Moriko. Thirty years old. I’m a recent corporate dropout and NEET. I’m not your average NEET schmuck.
I chose the NEET life. I’m an elite NEET.
Moriko Morioka (CV: Mamiko Noto) has resigned from her company and is now a NEET with no plans on working again any time soon. As she looks at her computer she decides to play NantarSG, but in the past 6 month of not playing, the service has been terminated. She does a search for recommendations and decides to play Fruits de Mer as the hot male character, Hayashi (CV: Ryouta Suzuki). In game Hayashi meets Lily (CV: Reina Ueda) and Moriko finds relief from reality. Continue reading →
A small percentage of people have a special power called “Minimum” and these are called “Minimum Holders”. There is a special school for the children potent to be a Minimum Holder, and the graduates usually get jobs high in society. The group making up the Hamatora Investigation Bureau however have chosen not to take such jobs. Nice (CV: Ryouta Oosaka) together with his partner Murasaki (CV: Wataru Hatano) and their friends use their power to investigate and help people in need. Continue reading →
Batch posts a compilation of a few shows I’ve dropped, films, OVAs and Specials that don’t need their own posts.
Wizard Barrister: Benmashi Cecil Cecil Sudou (CV: Rui Tanabe) is the youngest Wizard Barrister in history. She is together with the other at her agency to be attorney’s for fellow wizards. She says it’s to help people, but in fact she wants to save her own mother who is in jail for illegal use of magic.
It seemed pretty okay, but after a while it got a bit confusing and more than anything – boring. I just gave up. (lol)
Tomoko Kuroki (CV: Izumi Kitta) is a socially awkward geek who spends a lot of time playing otome games, listening to drama CDs and watching anime. When she is getting into high school she’s certain she’ll be popular, but regardless of what she does, she’s always alone, and the people closest to her doesn’t seem to notice her problems at all.
Watamote (or “However I think about it, it’s your fault I’m not popular!” translated into English and with the official English title WATAMOTE ~ No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular!~) can be seen in two ways. One is that it’s extremely depressing. Other is that it’s funny as hell. It’s the hit or miss anime of a century. I can see how it’s depressing and how it might seem terrible to laugh at it because Tomoko’s life sucks. Her only friend from middle school doesn’t even realize how much Tomoko struggles. Regardless chances are that you’ll find it awkward, if not at all times, at least once in a while. Continue reading →
Batch posts are posts with early impressions and thoughts of shows I don’t finish.
Onee-chan ga Kita
Tomoya‘s (CV: Aimi Terakawa) father re-married and Tomoya got an older sister, Ichika (CV: Juri Nagatsuma). It would had been fine, but she’s really weirdly obsessed with her younger brother.
I didn’t really have a reason to drop this show, because the winter 2013/2014 season is full of mediocrity. I guess I dropped it so I could watch stuff I liked better r felt could go somewhere, so while it wasn’t horribly bad, it wasn’t good either.
