Batch #4

Batch posts a compilation of a few shows I’ve dropped, films, OVAs and Specials that don’t need their own posts.

58145lWizard Barrister: Benmashi Cecil
Cecil Sudou (CV: Rui Tanabe) is the youngest Wizard Barrister in history. She is together with the other at her agency to be attorney’s for fellow wizards. She says it’s to help people, but in fact she wants to save her own mother who is in jail for illegal use of magic.

It seemed pretty okay, but after a while it got a bit confusing and more than anything – boring. I just gave up. (lol)

Watashi ga Motenai no wa dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!

51619lTomoko Kuroki (CV: Izumi Kitta) is a socially awkward geek who spends a lot of time playing otome games, listening to drama CDs and watching anime. When she is getting into high school she’s certain she’ll be popular, but regardless of what she does, she’s always alone, and the people closest to her doesn’t seem to notice her problems at all.

Watamote (or “However I think about it, it’s your fault I’m not popular!” translated into English and with the official English title WATAMOTE ~ No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular!~) can be seen in two ways. One is that it’s extremely depressing. Other is that it’s funny as hell. It’s the hit or miss anime of a century. I can see how it’s depressing and how it might seem terrible to laugh at it because Tomoko’s life sucks. Her only friend from middle school doesn’t even realize how much Tomoko struggles. Regardless chances are that you’ll find it awkward, if not at all times, at least once in a while. Continue reading “Watashi ga Motenai no wa dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!”

Neppuu Kairiku Bushi Road

Neppu_Kairiku_Bushi_Road_Key_VisualAme (CV: Megumi Han) is the princess of Ise. In a world where a poison called Shinobi exists, her mother most of her country was destroyed. But she is a survivor and she was entrusted a key to a holy weapon called the Giga Road and she is on a quest to find this weapon and erase all the shinobi from the earth. On her quest she meets the yagyuu – a living weapon – named Suou (CV: KENN).

The premise, idea, concept, was good. The film, not so much. This film is part of a project with the same name as the film and there is comics of it, which might or might not explain more, but there were a bunch of holes in this. I mean, in the 91 minutes of this film, they managed to cram in (be warned: until the end of the paragraph, it’s spoiling pretty much the entire film!!) saving a child from being sacrificed, Ame meeting Suou, Suou knowing exactly where the heck they are supposed to go, Ame almost dying in a sand storm, Ame and co. being taking to some place, Ame getting the key stolen, some guy wanting Ame to get the weapon while another doesn’t want her to reach it, Suou saving Ame from being killed, someone from Ame’s past arriving with a bunch shinobi, Ame heading to the holy weapon, Ame reaching the holy weapon after a soldier from her homeland is killed, Ame finding weapon, weapon which is a huge mecha is not responding, bad guy catches up, info dump by bad guy who I still don’t know exactly how he’s connected with Ame but I’m assuming teacher, guy who didn’t want Ame to find the weapon arrives to save the day, bad guy pretty much ignores it, explosion, something happen and Suou comes for Ame but Giga Road is trying to protect Ame, Suou and Ame get literally connected and giant mecha starts raging, Ame-Suou kills bad guy, an ending song that made me think of tokusatsu drama or Japanese superhero shows, Ame has died, Suou cries. Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom (reprise)

Hakuoki-LogoI originally wrote a few very long blog posts about this game, but sadly those posts are now gone. I will, however, write what I thought about this otome game base on memory and my notes.

Chizuru Yukimura‘s father hasn’t been in touch with her for some time, and the girl decides to go to Kyoto to find her father, dressed as a boy. In Kyoto she witnesses a Fury attack and is taken in by the Shinsengumi for interrogation of what she saw. After she comes out being a girl and tells them the reason she’s there, the captains of the Shinsengumi allow her to live on the compound, as long as she pretends to be a boy. As time pass she grown close to the captains of the Shinsengumi. Continue reading “Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom (reprise)”

Diabolik Lovers

51989lSo, I made an early impression-post on Disgusting WIfebeaters back when blog was hosted on my domain. Let’s just say that I will most likely repeat the same thing.

What the hell’s wrong with this shit? And who thought of the terrible idea to even make that crap into an anime? Just watching it made me want to throw up, and I’m plenty sure that wasn’t as bad as in the game, WHICH I’LL NEVER TOUCH.

So why was it so bad? Continue reading “Diabolik Lovers”
