Mikakunin de Shinkoukei

55261lKobeni Yonomori (CV: Haruka Terui) lives with her sister Benio (CV: Eriko Matsui) (who’s a siscon) and their working mother, Akane (CV: Yui Watanabe) and Kobeni is the one in charge of the house chores. On the day she turns sixteen, she’s told she’s engaged to Hakuya Mitsumine (CV: Wataru Hatano) due to an arrangement of her grandfather’s. What’s more, Hakuya, together with his little sister Mashiro (CV: Yuri Yoshida), comes from the mountain they live on to live with the Yonomori family. What she doesn’t know is that Hakuya once saved her life as a child and that he isn’t even human. Continue reading “Mikakunin de Shinkoukei”

D-Frag!

53407lKenji Kazama (CV: Katsuyuki Mazama) is a delinquent and he’s trying to become the strongest at his school together with his friends Hiroshi “Long Mountain” Nagayama (CV: Kenichirou Matsuda) and “Little Foot Yokoshima” Yokoshima (CV: Hiroki Gotou), a trio called “Kazama Party”. One day, however, the Kazama Party finds their way to the girls at the Game Creation Club (Temporary) and Kenji is made to join the club. Noragami

From now on I will write out scores for the shows I’ve watched. For anime these scores will include Story, Characters, Animation, Music, Total and Average. I’m, for now, using a 0-5 system. 5, is awesome, 4 is good, 3 is neutral, 2 is bad, 1 is horrible, 0 means I can’t score it. Scores and what I score might change over time.

58139lHiyori Iki (CV: Maaya Uchida) is your everyday girl, who loves watching wrestling. One day as she and her friends are going from school, she sees a guy running in front of a lorry. She jumps out to save him, but in front of the lorry, her soul is separated from her body and although she’s unsure how reliable the guy is, she has to ask him – the god Yato (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya) – to help her with her problem. But Yato isn’t fulfilling her wish although she did pay him 5 yen and while she’s waiting for her wish to be fulfilled she learns how the world of the gods work and befriends Yato and his regalia Yukine (CV: Yuuki Kaji).

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha

54903lInari Fushimi (CV: Naomi Oozora) loves the local Inari shrine. She is also in love with Kouji Tanbabashi (CV: Hiroshi Okamoto). One day she helps a fox pup and soon after she visits the shrine while frustrated and she wishes to be the girl she thinks Kouji is in love with, Akemi Sumizone (CV: Iori Nomizu). As thanks for helping the pup the goddess of the shrine, Ukanomitama-no-kami (CV: Houko Kuwashima) (Uka for short), grants her wish and Inari is suddenly Akemi…

This is a… well, to be honest, I don’t really know where to put it. It seemed like it would be a love comedy, but Uka’s and Inari’s relationship is in focus and Inari’s love is just some sub-story with barely any progress at all during the 10 episodes this show consists of. Batch #5

Batch posts are posts where I write early impressions on shows I end up dropping or about OVAs, which I can’t write a lot about.

54783lNatsume Yuujinchou: Itsuka Yuki no Hi ni

Takashi Natsume (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya) is able to see demons. One snowy day he sees a demon who is searching for something, but doesn’t know what it’s searching for. Takashi tries to help it, but it’s hard when all he knows it’s something nostalgic, new, sparkling and warm. When the demon finds it, it became a flower and disappeared.

It’s typical to Natsume Yuujinchou and filled me with emotions – as the show always done. I loved this little OVA and when I watched it earlier this spring, it was really fitting. All in all, it’s a lovely OVA which captures the essence of the entire show, music, pacing, story and feelings included. I should write about NatsuYuu in the future.

Batch #4

Batch posts a compilation of a few shows I’ve dropped, films, OVAs and Specials that don’t need their own posts.

58145lWizard Barrister: Benmashi Cecil
Cecil Sudou (CV: Rui Tanabe) is the youngest Wizard Barrister in history. She is together with the other at her agency to be attorney’s for fellow wizards. She says it’s to help people, but in fact she wants to save her own mother who is in jail for illegal use of magic.

It seemed pretty okay, but after a while it got a bit confusing and more than anything – boring. I just gave up. (lol)

Batch #3

Batch posts are posts with shows I drop along the way and sometimes films or OVAs I don’t feel I can give a proper post too.

28748lHeart no Kuni no Alice

I… can’t… even… I don’t know. What did I watch? I don’t know. This film is an adaptation of the game made by QuinRose with the same name, which is the first game in the Alice series. It’s based on Alice in Wonderland (no kidding?) and I’ve played a little bit of it several years ago when I still wasn’t very fluent in Japanese. But this was too confusing. It completely messed me up and I kept looking at the clock. Yuck.

Batch #2

Batch posts are posts with early impressions and thoughts of shows I don’t finish.

56415lOnee-chan ga Kita

Tomoya‘s (CV: Aimi Terakawa) father re-married and Tomoya got an older sister, Ichika (CV: Juri Nagatsuma). It would had been fine, but she’s really weirdly obsessed with her younger brother.

I didn’t really have a reason to drop this show, because the winter 2013/2014 season is full of mediocrity. I guess I dropped it so I could watch stuff I liked better r felt could go somewhere, so while it wasn’t horribly bad, it wasn’t good either.

Batch #1

Batch posts are (mostly) early impressions on shows I dropped along the way over the season. Most shows which I stop watching are dropped within the 3 first episodes or I watch through it, but there are times I drop them further in (usually longer shows). The following four are all from this ongoing winter season.

56589lSaikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiin da ga.

Or ImoCho for short. In English it’s “Recently, my little sister has been a bit weird” (ignore the fact I just translated the title as is, which isn’t what I’ve actually the English title, as far as I know).

These little sister light novels are going to kill me. I thought that after torturing myself through 12 episodes and a recap of Disgusting Wifebeaters (aka Diabolik Lovers) I could watch anything. I was wrong and ImoCho slapped that in my face only days after I thought I could watch anything. Life is cruel.

Well, ImoCho seemed to be liked by my boyfriend after a single episode (I didn’t check his rating on it on MAL. Nope.) but as I’m not interested in a combination of following ingredients:
Step-siblings (older male, younger female) alone in a house (well, will be – parents are leaving for India)
Chasity-belt
Ghost masturbating while possessing girl
And more stuff like as above. Yeah, I admit I couldn’t write more without being at loss of words.

I guess the first episode could basically be described as tasteless soft porn. I’m not into that. I’ll take on those vampires any day, as long as I don’t have to watch ImoCho. Continue reading “Batch #1”
