The loading screen switch between illustrations and promotional art of classes and species, of Misty Haven, and Midwinterfest scenes.
“Lily.”
Titu Lilin perked her ear at Teenam’s cheerful voice saying the nickname the moontail foxkin had given her years ago.
“Power level Chu Ghilon with me.”
“You ask me as if I’m in either of your’s time zones.”
“You and Chu Ghilon can coordinate the time and I’ll just be awake whenever.”
The game almost finished loading after the dungeon that the two of them had run together for Titu Lilin to get used to the controls again.
The chat appeared first as she emerged from the instance dungeon back to the server.
You are now in Luntalgi’s Wanderer Guild Town.
This server’s activity is currently very high. Please be patient, would there be any loading delays during this period of high traffic.
Misty Haven will open in 4 hours and 42 minutes. Recommended character level for Beginner is 40, Normal is 300, Legendary is 500, Nightmare is 750, and Mythmaker 1000. Please prepare.
We have reached below 6 hours in the countdown. There will be a new reminder every hour.
Remember to read the specifications for the Misty Haven specifications on the website. This season, Legendary requires 10 successful runs, Nightmare 15, and Mythmaker 25. The dungeon tier just played locks for 8 hours of cooldown upon clearing it and when all members of a party dies.
Nightmare and Mythmaker can be run with two full allied parties. These will scale according to the average party if party level exceeds a certain number and based on the highest member in the dungeon at that time respectively. Plan accordingly.
“Bitch, the system message is so long,” Teenam complained. “And I’m home.”
“Tell me about it,” Titu Lilin said. “But I’m a vixen.”
Her loading screen finally faded away on an illustration of a Rogue and a Cleric in Merteis, the city of foxes, and she found herself in the guild house. She turned to find where Teenam ran off to and saw two white foxes chasing each other in a circle outside.
The smaller, pure white one was in white and silver medium weight armour, with some parts being plate and some parts being leather. She was wielding a two-pawed swords.
The slightly larger one with a slight violet tone to the fur was in cloth armour, consisting of a cloak with the hood down, pants and a tunic. The cloak fluttered behind him as he sprinted to both catch up and run away from the white vixen. He had a glittering effect from some item that was barely noticeable in the bright garden of the guild house.
Teenam snorted. “What’s a male fox called then?”
“You’ll never guess.”
“Yeah, I won’t even try.”
“A dog.”
Teenam wheezed with laughter. “Are you for real right now?”
Titu Lilin watched as the larger fox ran straight into the wall. The smaller one stopped to stare at the other moon fox, before using a confusion emote, making the vixen tilt her head.
Feni Kunas: What happened?
“Yes.”
“So a vixen and a dog?”
“Exactly.”
Hearing just how hard Teenam was laughing, Titu Lilin decided to make sure Feni didn’t start to worry.
Titu Lilin: i told Teenam what boy foxes are called
Feni Kunas: Oh? Which one?
Feni Kunas: Reynards?
Titu Lilin: no
Titu Lilin: teenam is dying from laughter over dogs
Feni Kunas: T didn’t know boy foxes are called dogs??
“Do you think Kitu knows he’s a dog?” Teenam said breathlessly between bouts of laughter.
“You’re playing a dog fox too,” Titu Lilin pointed out.
All Teenam did as a response was to start barking between the laughter and wheezing.
“How old are you? It’s not that funny.” But even as she said it, Titu Lilin couldn’t help smile at Teenam’s sheer joy over a simple word.
It took a minute and a bout of coughing before Teenam could reply. “Old enough to have been a moon fox for almost fifteen years.”
“And yet you’re only level ten forty-eight.”
“I have alts,” Teenam readily admitted. “I spend most of my time playing Teenam, though.”
Teenam Mortana: Why are you awake, Feffie? Isn’t it late?
Feni Kunas: No, I’m at my old folks’ house. I should be more or less in the same time as Titu right now.
Feni Kunas: I’m waiting for Gituda.
Titu Lilin: i noticed this and i might be wrong but you seem kind of attached to vc?
Teenam hummed softly, seeming to have read her question in chat, but didn’t say anything.
Feni Kunas: What do you mean?
Titu Lilin: you tag him a lot
Titu Lilin: he tells you to stop spamming him privately
Feni Kunas: I guess
Titu Lilin: you were in voice on discord with him a few hours ago
Teenam Mortana: Do you stop when he tells you to, though?
Titu Lilin: but maybe youre just getting ready for {Misty Haven}.
Feni Kunas: I do stop.
Feni Kunas: Sometimes.
Teenam Mortana: Sometimes…
Feni Kunas: He knows I try.
Titu Lilin: i just feel like you might have spent a lot of time with him in game before i took a break too
Titu Lilin: wasnt vc rly young?
Feni Kunas: I haven’t really thought about it. He acts like my dad.
Feni Kunas: Like, my real dad.
Feni Kunas: The one who gave my mom a fox-brained weirdo to raise.
Feni Kunas: That real dad.
Titu Lilin heard Teenam try not to laugh.
Feni Kunas: Why?
Feni Kunas: Gituda doesn’t mind that I’m 15 yrs older than he is.
Feni Kunas: He doesn’t get annoyed at me either, which is nice.
Teenam Mortana: Oh? “STFU” isn’t being annoyed?
Feni Kunas: That’s mildly exasperated.
Teenam Mortana: That makes me wonder how he treats his students. You think he curses teens out?
Feni Kunas: He’s a good teacher.
Feni Kunas: Probably.
Feni Kunas: OH BTW. You think I should organise another meetup?
Titu Lilin: between you and vc???
Teenam lost it.
“What’s so funny?” Titu Lilin asked.
Feni Kunas: ???
Feni Kunas: I mean I guess??
Feni Kunas: But why would it just be him and me??
“Feffie means for the guild. He’s planned them twice.”
“Oh. So nothing’s going on between Feffie and Vice Cap?”
“Not that I’m aware of now,” Teenam replied with a chuckle. “Feffie is just high energy and apparently has confirmed to be two cats in a fox pelt.”
Titu Lilin: i misunderstood
Titu Lilin: you planned irl meetups?
Feni Kunas: Oh! You missed them? I planned two! It sucks Teenam lives on a different continent though. That’s the person I wanted to meet up the most, aside from Cap and G.
Teenam Mortana: Ew no. I don’t want to leave the house.
Feni Kunas: I could come to your house. Your internet speed must be wild because your ping seems to be super low.
Teenam Mortana: Why would I let you come to my house???
Teenam Mortana: You met D?
Feni Kunas: Doamannu? Yeah.
Feni Kunas: I know stuff now.
Teenam Mortana: Do you know THAT?
Feni Kunas: If THAT is what I think it is. Yeah, they told me.
“What is that?” Titu Lilin asked curiously.
Teenam cryptically said, “Secret relationships.”
Feni Kunas: Also, Cap is OLD.
Teenam Mortana: Is he graying?
Feni Kunas: He’s a silver fox.
Teenam Mortana: I’ve always wondered about this.
Teenam Mortana: Really?
Feni Kunas: or a bear I guess.
Feni Kunas: I felt young next to him.
Teenam Mortana: The old bear was old when I got to know him ages ago.
There were distanced yips, making Titu Lilin turn to see a masculine wood elf step away from the teleportation platform and head toward the guild house. Wood elves were the tallest of the elves and thus the tallest elfine species, too. He was dressed in the leather armour of a beast tamer and with an elf-only wooden circlet.
Feni Kunas ran over and began running in circles around the much taller Gituda Tuuk. It almost made it look like Feni Kunas was the Vice Captain’s summon.
Gituda Tuuk stopped and did a head pat emote on Feni.
Gituda Tuuk: Idiot.
“You’re trying to First Healer, right?” Titu Lilin asked Teenam.
“No. I don’t really try. If it happens, it happens. Doing fifty-one clears is a lot to get first in every category, even over six week. That’s more than one a day on average. We have three attempts for each a day, I can’t be in a too high level party or they’ll be considered carrying me, I can’t be in a too weak party, or they won’t survive.”
Titu could hear the implications nonetheless… “You’re going to do twenty-five mythmaker clears either way.”
“Absolutely. I loved running it last time. Limited skills, no clue what we’re going to meet? The old enemies tune to new mechanics, previews of new bosses? It’s amazing. It’s one of the few times I don’t have time goofing around because I’m bored. It’s like made for me.”
Gituda Tuuk: Teenam, take a nap. We’re doing Normal and Legendary back to back. I need you fully rested, fed and caffeinated.
Teenam Mortana: We’re doing this that seriously? Which guild are we cooperating with for the firsyruns?
Gituda Tuuk: Your former family.
Titu Lilin was not prepared to hear Teenam say, “Oof.”
“What?” she asked, not sure she heard right.
“Let’s just say it was a rough ‘divorce’ with my so-calle former family.”
That was certainly something she could relate to.
Teenam Mortana: Whose team am I on?
Gituda Tuuk: Mine. Leader doing another team. And they’ll have three, but those three will go in a few hours with those who can’t stay up tonight.
Teenam Mortana: gotcha. Going to take a morning nap and run to the store for snacks.
Gituda Tuuk: Remember to be online afterwards. Cap said he’ll run Nightmare and maybe Mythmaker with you with a level 900 to 1700 team. I promised to lend you to him, since we don’t have the man powerfor your tier.
“Oh, neat. Time to show those bitches who’s the boss,” Teenam said, probably not meant for Titu Lilin’s ear.
“Well, I guess you should log off,” Titu Lilin told the moon fox. “Four runs in an evening will be tough.”
“Sorry about that. If you see Chu Ghilon online, make time for power levelling with them for me.”
“Sure!”
The call ended, and Titu Lilin disconnected as well. She asked Feni and Gituda what they were going to do. When told Gituda was going to hunt, Titu Lilin thought for a moment before she replied.
Titu Lilin: let me come along
Titu Lilin: i need to complete my hunter’s log too!
