Marinette Dupain-Chang and Adrien Agreste seem like they’re normal teens, but no! They’re the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir who save Paris from the evil Hawk Moth is spreading, as the villain is trying to get the jewellery called Miraculous that Ladybug and Cat Noir have to protect the world.
Thoughts
First of all… Why mix English and French for Chat Noir and why not just call the villain Papillon in English too? Those complaints aside, Miraculous Ladybug is a show I really like. I’ve watched the first season three times and I’m on my first rewatch of the second season despite the fact I watched season 2 just days after Christmas. It seems S2 recently came out on Netflix in Sweden.
So far, I think it’s a good show, but if you’re not into superheroes or magical girls, you probably won’t enjoy this very much because it’s basically the baby of American superheroes and Japanese magical girls. It deals with political subjects and can be educational while still being a really good action/comedy/romance show for both children and adults. I watch it in French and the voices are A+. English and Swedish are absolutely terrible in comparison. I’d love to hear the Japanese voices someday though.
