When he was a child, Souta Suzukaze (CV: Motoko Kumai, Yuuko Sanpei) was told a fairy tale. Now, 14 years old, he has a recurring dream featuring the story told by his mother, and he’s trying to find the fairy tale in books. But he can’t. One day he hears it while looking for it and he chases the voice to find a man telling it. Souta corrects the man’s version and that’s when Souta’s life changes tremendously. Mana Getting Married?! The Dress of Hopes Connected to the Future
From this month onwards, the posts are bi-weekly, meaning the next post comes in two weeks, not next Sunday. Because of school I just can’t keep up with a weekly posting schedule.
Mana’s mother, Ayumi Aida (CV: Harumi Ueda), finds her wedding dress, a dress Mana’s grandmother, Isuzu Bandou (CV: Kazuko Sugiyama), also used, and Mana (CV: Hitomi Nabatame) asks for it. After talking with her friends about it, a strange force is collecting “junk” – things that people have forgotten about. The wedding dress also almost leaves, but Mana manages to save it. The force that collects the things is Marsh (CV: Shousuke Tanihara) who somehow knows Mana. When Mana doesn’t remember him, he seals everyone in their memories, including the Precure. Now the girls need to find a way out even though they are separated and forced to forget things while they live in their memories. Continue reading “Mana Getting Married?! Noragami
From now on I will write out scores for the shows I’ve watched. For anime these scores will include Story, Characters, Animation, Music, Total and Average. I’m, for now, using a 0-5 system. 5, is awesome, 4 is good, 3 is neutral, 2 is bad, 1 is horrible, 0 means I can’t score it. Scores and what I score might change over time.
Hiyori Iki (CV: Maaya Uchida) is your everyday girl, who loves watching wrestling. One day as she and her friends are going from school, she sees a guy running in front of a lorry. She jumps out to save him, but in front of the lorry, her soul is separated from her body and although she’s unsure how reliable the guy is, she has to ask him – the god Yato (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya) – to help her with her problem. But Yato isn’t fulfilling her wish although she did pay him 5 yen and while she’s waiting for her wish to be fulfilled she learns how the world of the gods work and befriends Yato and his regalia Yukine (CV: Yuuki Kaji).
Watashi ga Motenai no wa dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!
Tomoko Kuroki (CV: Izumi Kitta) is a socially awkward geek who spends a lot of time playing otome games, listening to drama CDs and watching anime. When she is getting into high school she’s certain she’ll be popular, but regardless of what she does, she’s always alone, and the people closest to her doesn’t seem to notice her problems at all.
Watamote (or “However I think about it, it’s your fault I’m not popular!” translated into English and with the official English title WATAMOTE ~ No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular!~) can be seen in two ways. One is that it’s extremely depressing. Other is that it’s funny as hell. It’s the hit or miss anime of a century. I can see how it’s depressing and how it might seem terrible to laugh at it because Tomoko’s life sucks. Her only friend from middle school doesn’t even realize how much Tomoko struggles. Regardless chances are that you’ll find it awkward, if not at all times, at least once in a while. Continue reading “Watashi ga Motenai no wa dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!”
Batch #3
Batch posts are posts with shows I drop along the way and sometimes films or OVAs I don’t feel I can give a proper post too.
Heart no Kuni no Alice
I… can’t… even… I don’t know. What did I watch? I don’t know. This film is an adaptation of the game made by QuinRose with the same name, which is the first game in the Alice series. It’s based on Alice in Wonderland (no kidding?) and I’ve played a little bit of it several years ago when I still wasn’t very fluent in Japanese. But this was too confusing. It completely messed me up and I kept looking at the clock. Yuck.
