[MISSION]

[Difficulty: ⭐]

[Scenario: During the morning, it was noted that there was a plumbing issue at the school. The water has been closed down and will be for a while, but the school day continues as it won’t be too long before it’s fixed. However, you’re thirsty and in need of beverage, yet have no money to buy a bottle of juice from the cafeteria. Your classmates won’t lend you money despite you being in need. What do you do?]

[Target: One of the girls in the next class.]

[Current relationship: You two attend the same school.]

[Goal: Seduce the right girl to get her to buy you a bottle of juice to quench your thirst.]

[Time Limit: 120 minutes.]

[Will you accept the mission to seduce her?]

[Yes] [No]

No matter how he looked at the mission, it was odd. The goal was to get a bottle of juice within two hours, and he had to not only locate a girl, but also convince her to buy him something.

While he pondered this, his supposed NPC classmates were coming inside one by one. All of them seemed to take no notice of him. Even as another guy his age say down at the desk next to him, his deskmate showed no sign of acknowledgement.

He studied the boy, looking him up and down.

A little chubby and with a face that made him look a little younger than seventeen, but still taller than him, the “Player”.

He turned his attention back to the phone and returned to the Profile tab.

[Character: High School Student (male)]

[Age: 17]

[Birthday: December ——]

[Current Location: Classroom K]

[Clothes: School uniform]

[Description: You are a student in your second year of high school.]

Aside from the location and the school uniform, the information was the same as it should have been for him personally. He was indeed seventeen, in his second year of high school and born in December.

His name was missing, but he wasn’t sure if it had been purposely omitted or if the “character” coincidentally had the same information. After all, the date of the birth month was also missing.

But more importantly, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he answered “No” on the seduction.

Right after thinking this, his phone chimed again. No one seemed to hear it but him.

He immediately went into the Spade App to read the log.

[If ⟨Player⟩ accepts the mission, you have a chance to gain many rewards, depending on your performance. These rewards will be listed once ⟨Player⟩ accepts the mission.]

[If ⟨Player⟩ declines the mission, you will be removed from the scenario. You will receive no benefits from ⟨The Seduction Game⟩ nor be punished.]

[⟨Player⟩ will return to reality as is, and reality will continue in the same direction as it was before ⟨Player⟩ was selected.]

[Users are selected with great care and will find that ⟨The Seduction Game⟩ will benefit them in many ways. Rewards and experience are retained when leaving the Scenario.]

[Accepting a mission and clearing tasks in the Scenario set in ⟨Classroom K⟩ is not binding.]

He couldn’t help but narrow his eyes while a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. The dimples adorning his smile appeared, giving him an endearing look together with the upturned tip of his nose and oval eyes.

This game was really interesting, and it didn’t seem to have any major consequences. He looked around the unfamiliar classroom with no familiar faces. He could do this mission entirely for fun and clear the silly challenge just to see what this “seduction game” was all about.

Ding!

[⟨Player⟩ accepted the mission!]

[⟨Player⟩ is now bound to ⟨Character⟩ until the final goal is cleared or the time runs out. ⟨Player⟩ is now part of the Scenario.]

[⟨Player⟩ has cleared their first task! Congratulations!]

[Congratulations! ⟨Player⟩ has earned their first reward! Rewards are received at the end of the round.]

[The requirements to unlock Statistics and Tasks in the Player Information app have been fulfilled!]

[The Statistics are divided into two attribute types: Seduction and Core.]

[Seduction type of attributes will rise depending on ⟨Player⟩’s success in clearing missions. The better the seduction, the higher the likelihood of ⟨Player⟩ gaining new points. These points are not changeable.]

[Core type of attributes affect ⟨Player⟩’s physiological and psychological condition but not seduction skills. These can be choosable and points can also be gained through clearing tasks and missions.]

[Congratulations! ⟨Player⟩ has unlocked Seduction Points and Store Points. The Store is now unlocked in The Seduction Game app!]

[Surprise! ⟨Player⟩ has received their first Seduction Points. The Seduction Score will be visible in the Player Stats in the Player Information App. These initial points are based on ⟨Player⟩’s innate seduction skills.]

[The location of your Seduction Value will be randomised.]

A barrage of messages appeared in the system log. Having read them all, he wanted to explore what all of this meant and to see his various stats and values.

However, just as he had left the log, he felt someone tap his shoulder.

Startled, he looked to his side and saw the chubby boy had turned to him. He instantly remembered the log had said he was now “part of the scenario”. That must mean the NPCs could perceive him now, while he was essentially not there before.

“What’s up?” he asked with a smile.

The boy smiled back with a half smile. “I was going to ask if you were okay, but you seem perfectly fine, Rasmus. Why didn’t you come to play basketball with us before?”

Rasmus realised that, to them, the NPCs, he was likely a classmate since the beginning of high school based on the way this NPC talked to him. He had to come up with a convincing lie for his character, though he knew nothing about the character itself.

Was that freedom or a limitation? Could he make up his character or…

“I had a headache, nothing major. I took a nap, and it got better.”

The classmate said, “Oh.”

Someone poked Rasmus from the back. He turned to see a girl. “Nap, what nap? Lunch break isn’t so long that you have time to nap.”

“I can always cat nap,” Rasmus said. He grinned at her, his dimples deep.

She humphed, cheeks red, before she pulled out a book out of the space beneath desk and made it stand between them, like a screen.

That girl might have a crush on “me”, Rasmus thought with a chuckle. He winked at the girl sitting next to her. She blinked at him, then dived into playing around with her phone.

Seeing this, he thought for a little bit, then leaned closer to the boy next to him. He asked, “Is there a girl in the next class with a crush on me?”

Rasmus only had two hours to clear his mission. He didn’t really know what would happen after, if it would be something like “Stage cleared” or if he would get a new mission. Just this bit of unknown made it very exciting to him.

Getting a girl to buy him a drink in less than two hours — wasn’t this like a reverse situation at a bar? He even had quite a long time, while a girl at a bar would not.

This mission wasn’t as innocent as it would seem.

He smiled sweetly at the boy, who turned to him.

“Why would a girl have a crush on you? Keep daydreaming.”

“Are you jealous? I can think of at least one who does like me in our class. I’m fairly certain there’s one in next door too.”

The boy looked unconvinced.

“I can prove it.”

Rasmus put his hand into the space beneath his desk and pulled out a book. Looking at it, he held a hardcover geography book.

He had the same one at his school.

It confirmed a suspicion he had, but that was unimportant for his quest right now.

He opened it, guessing approximately where his class ought to be at the end of the term. He had a slight sense of what he would study in school around the end of the second year. His teacher was a bit pedantic and had given them a detailed schedule for what they would need to learn. What’s more, that teacher also used pop-up quizzes — if he didn’t know what his class would study at the end of the term, he might as well say goodbye to passing geography.

He flipped back and forth for a while, curious about the fact the book was fully legible even with things he hadn’t really looked up.

“What proof is this?” the boy next to him whispered. “Are you saying it’s the geography teacher?”

Rasmus’ hand slipped, and he nearly got a paper cut. He stared at the boy for a moment.

He hadn’t considered the possibility of an adult woman being his target. But logically speaking, the mission stated “girl” so the NPC must simply be throwing him off.

He had to retort, somehow.

Right then, a note slipped out of the book and softly fell on top of the desk.
